The Last Ingredient in the Manifesting Process

Last Updated On: April 16, 2017

When I was a teenager, my father had a friend who had a women’s clothes store. He was a caring family man, and an honest, hard working business man. His dream was to open more stores throughout the city and achieve financial success, but regardless of the many trade shows he attended, and how well stocked his store was or how many outfits and dresses he sold, for one reason or another he was always short on money and struggling to make ends meet.

shop-windowI’m sure you know at least one person like this man. Am I right? If so, you must be wondering…  why is it that people who take massive action and work their butts off do not see the results they are supposed to get? I mean, I’m not talking here about people who are spenders or who do not know how to manage their money. And certainly, the people who fall in this category are not lazy nor they are after a free lunch. So why is it that they are not living in abundance?

We have heard many times that “action” is an ingredient for success, and I couldn’t agree more. Actually, this is the very reason that many people did not agree with “The Secret.” The film gave the impression that by just practicing positive thinking, affirmations and visualization, things would start popping into existence, as if by magic. Now, in all fairness, taking action was mentioned in “The Secret“, but not with as much emphasis as it should have.

Truth is, action is an essential element for success but it is only the last ingredient in the manifesting process. Yes, you read that right. But if action is the last ingredient, which elements come first? That is a valid question, and the answer requires a bit of explaining. Let’s start with the obvious.

We’ve all heard that success is a mindset, so in order to manifest your desires, and before you even roll up your sleeves and go to work, you must work on your mindset. Thus, being should first be brought into existence in your mind. For instance, if you want to manifest 1 million dollars, you must “BE” a millionaire in your mind first. This IS the very first step.

The decision to be a millionaire should be consciously chosen and fixated in your mind not only as a desire but as a real possibility and a ‘very-likely‘ probability. This MUST be in place in your mind even before you start creating your vision board or chanting affirmations. The idea should sit well with you. You should be able to see yourself as a millionaire — in your mind — and feel deserving and excited about having 1 million dollars. If you don’t do this first, no matter how much you work, it will not come to pass. (If you need help convincing yourself that you deserve what you want, I invite you to read my story on autosuggestion here.)

When you skip or lack this first step is the reason behind the many desires and dreams that never come to pass. For this mindset to get anchored in, you need to bring into awareness your feelings and emotions around being a millionaire (or having whatever it is you want.) How do you feel when you think about the possibility of having 1 million dollars? What emotions run through your body? If you feel uneasy for some reason, it is time to dig deeper and explore your beliefs.

Once you master ‘Being‘, thinking and speaking come next. You’ve probably heard that some gurus say ‘act as if’ your desire already had happened. This has to do with what you think and the way you speak. You should think positive thoughts about your goal. This is the right moment to introduce visualization, vision boards, and affirmations to fuel your thinking with positive emotions.

Lastly, but just as important, watch the way you speak not only to others but to yourself. If you find yourself negating or letting your self-talk go wild with the many reasons why this or that won’t work… stop it! Remember that you have control over your thoughts, so don’t allow them to run you.

Once you’ve got congruence between being, thinking, and speaking, then and only then you can undertake the last ingredient in the manifesting process: action! The rest will flow with ease, as you experience the manifesting of your desire right in front of your eyes.

Have you taken the last ingredient of the manifesting process at the right time or do you think you have been doing things in the wrong order? Please share of your experience in the area below… Thank YOU!

You lay out the manifesting process very clearly here, Tammy. I believe I understand each portion and can allow them to work together. I have on occasion been able to manifest in this manner. I see that it requires true focus, energy and consciousness to elevate this to a continual way of life. I want it and I am going for it.

I have to agree with this; we are what we manifest. It’s amazing how the simplest things we happen to mention in passing can come to pass at anytime. Yet those things we dwell on such as wanting money or success seem to be out of our grasp. Maybe we need to stop worrying and stop having negative attitudes and start manifesting positive attitudes in our lives. It’s not easy and it can take a whole lot of practice. Believe me, I know. I have to go about reminding myself everyday to do this when I start having negative thoughts creep in.

Yes, it takes practice, determination and perseverance. You are on a good path. Keep it up!

I have read a lot of books on manifestation, and it is really the same in almost every one. They cover the being, thinking, and speaking in great detail, almost too much in some of them. Then they mention action in passing and end the book. This leads everyone to think that the authors are basically saying sit around and concentrate on these things, and don’t worry it will come to you. This isn’t true though. Everything requires action. Then everyone loses faith in the process because it didn’t work for them.

The other thing I see often is people “taking action” but it is either useless action, or action that will bring them in the opposite direction than where they want to go. You should include a spot in your vision board, or your written plans, or somewhere that includes not just the steps of your action, but also how that step will help you manifest your goal. It works for me!

“Great article Tammy.” I have always been a very grateful person. My mom died when I was eight. I have been through many storms in my life but never allowed them to leave me bitter or ungrateful. When it comes to manifesting I can do that very well(working on the money part now). Up until now I never really thought about manifesting money. Many people have asked me why I haven’t? I have an abundance of stuff that I have manifested. Just last week I manifested something every day. But my way of doing this is different. I was told years ago by someone that all I had to do was think about something and it will come to pass(this is Biblical too) and it does every time. For this reason I am very careful about what I think or speak out of my mouth. Sometimes people joke and ask me to ask for something for them or they tell me not to say certain things to them because they know if I do it will surely come to pass. I am still a work in progress. Being wise and using common sense in what I ask for. Please email me if you can find the time. I thank God for you and pray that His presence and favor continue to be in and with you as you spread light to those that are blessed to cross paths with you. Barbara.

My problem is that I retrogress when confronted with a grave difficulty. This means I need to focus on a day-to-day basis and make the entire process a way of life. I would just like to add that having spirituality greatly helps as it also guides you into becoming a good person for others. I can just imagine the cycle of love and abundance all these will create in our world if most people will be into these. Well, I guess I should start with myself.

I agree with everything stated in this post. Many believe, but do not act. Some act, but do not fully believe. Believing is the first step. I always tell people to put themselves in that mindset, of believing first. I always do it when I start writing for my book, it becomes more believable and eventually my book will manifest in the physical form as a printed book. I recommend everyone do the same.

I have read the THE SECRET and though it mentioned action, it put more emphasis on the “magic” part that I find hard to believe. There was no question about the credibility of the many contributors to the book/documentary but I still found it lacking. So much so that I felt an occult vibe and it didn’t rest too well with me. I guess I’m one of the few people who didn’t think THE SECRET was too awesome because it didn’t talk to me personally. I do, however, believe that having the vision of the kind of person you want to be and the level of success you want to achieve are two of the key factors to success.

As Napoleon Hill said it in Think and Grow Rich… “The starting point of all achievement is desire. Keep this constantly in mind. Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire makes a small amount of heat.” It all starts in the mind but it doesn’t have to stay there.
